  • Large Heavy Duty Rail System: The floor mounted rail systems provides a very rigid foundation for the large 37 KG triple machined rail. This is necessary for  very accurate and smooth machine motion.  This large heavy duty rail system can be easily expanded to accommodate additional cutting lengths or additional machines on a common rail.
  • KOIKE Engineered Main Electrical Enclosure: No proprietary components are designed into the KOIKE main electrical enclosure.  Only “Off-the-Shelf” components are structured for this design.  This main electrical enclosure incorporates Sercos-III interface for extremely fast communication between the CNC and electrical components.  18 Amp Bosch/Rexroth drives are used to give the HP required to achieve 1400 IPM rapid traverse speed.  Power requirements is 480/3/60 @ 30 Amp.

Plasma Cutting

Plasma cutting is a process of cutting electrically conductive metals, which utilize the electrically conductive gas to transfer energy from an electrical power source through a plasma cutting torch, thus melting the material.  There are two types of plasma cutting processes:

Conventional Plasma Cutting

This process uses oxygen, air, and nitrogen for cutting.  Conventional plasma cutting is a lower cost solution that will produce good quality cuts, but there will be some angle to the cut surface and the minimum hole quality is 3:1 to the plate thickness.  Most conventional plasma systems run 65 amps, 85 amps, 100 amps and 200 amp systems.  Mild steel cutting can be achieved from gauge material to 1-inch production pierce.  Stainless steel and aluminum can be achieved from gauge material to 3/4-inch.

Hi-Definition Plasma Cutting

This process uses multiple gases for producing the highest quality parts. The hi-definition plasma uses the following gasses for cutting:  oxygen, air, nitrogen, argon/hydrogen, and argon/nitrogen.  If outfitted with an Auto Gas System, this plasma also has marking capabilities by using low amperage from the power supply.  Argon gas is used for this marking process which is used to identify parts, bend lines, layout lines or drilling locations.  This hi-definition plasma system will produce high quality cuts, and the angle to these parts is very minimal.  Hole cutting quality on Mild Steel is a minimum of 1:1 ratio to the plate thickness up to a 1-inch plate.  Quick change plasma torch heads make changing consumables fast and easy.  Hi-definition plasma systems range from 130 amps, 260 amps, and 400 amps. Mild steel cutting can be achieved from gauge material to 2-inch production pierce. Stainless steel and aluminum cutting can be achieved from gauge material to 1-1/2 inches and with an 800 amp plasma system can production pierce up to 3-inches stainless steel.

The 3D-LT Bevel Head offers fully automatic plasma beveling in a simplified design. The “Patent Pending” 3D-LT Bevel Head uses a unique drive system and sensor ring design to provide unlimited head rotation, without electrical slip rings, while providing remote mounting of servo motors and sensor components. This design provides tilt and rotation movements about the plasma focal point, with two axis transformations, to provide more intuitive movements and a theoretical reductions in bevel angle error.

Allows operator a visual indicator for plate alignment and torch positioning.

Capacitive Height Control

Capacitive height control allows exact tip to work piece standoff distance.

Automatic Ignition

Allows tip ignition automatically through a program or can be executed manually from the Operator Console.

Slave Station Selection Switch

Allows the slave stations to be manually placed in the work area. A pneumatic switch clamps the station to the endless loop Kevlar belt allowing the station to follow the
master drive station.

Koike Twin Tip Holder

Converts a single oxy-fuel cutting torch into dual cutting torches. Allows strip cutting and a closer distance between small parts.

Koike Torch Bevel Head Attachment

The bevel head attachment is used in place of a Koike cutting tip. It is used for bevel cutting operations, including top and bottom bevel cuts.

The Koike water cutting table is an economic solution to reducing smoke, sparks and dust into the environment.

  • Constructed out of 1/4″ thick steel the table offers a heavy duty design with re-enforced side walls for extra durability.
  • Has a steel tank air bladder allows raising and lowering the water level with air.
  • Table allows 6″ thick plate and under to be leveled to the table for more accurate cutting.
  • 1/8″ thick slats are spaced 3″ apart and curved to help stop small parts from falling into table and prevent straight line cutting along a slat. This feature reduces slag along the bottom of parts and prolongs the life of the slats.

Koike Zoned Downdraft Cutting Table

Can be as big as you want or as small as you want depending on the workpieces; a maximum material thickness of 6 inches. Operation is simple: there are no electronic components, and the slat frames and the slag pans remove easily for cleaning. Fume extraction is everything one needs, thanks to multiple zones for optimal fume extraction. Downdraft tables are used primarily for plasma cutting and are combined with fume extraction units that filter the air back to the factory.
